A. Installation

1. Extracting and Running the Setup Program

1. Find the directory where you downloaded the installation zip file. 
   Usually your Internet Explorer saves the file to your desktop and the icon looks like the one on the left.  The file is called:  RssAdvantage-x.x.x.x-setup.zip 
   where the x stands for the latest version number of the software.
   
   
   

2.  Using your favorite 'unzipping' program extract the setup program.
   RssAdvantage-1.0.1.1-setup.exe
   and it can be identified with the icon on the left.
   
   
   

3. Run the setup program by double-clicking on the icon. You should see the following screen
   
   
    

4. Click on the Next button to go to the End User License agreement which should look similar to the following screen shot:
    
   
    

5. Please read the agreement and Click on the "I accept the agreement" option if you agree to the End User License. And Click on Next to go to the next step.
    
6. This step details the required components from Microsoft that are needed to run the software.
   1. The first component that is required is the Microsft.Net 2.0 framework and you can download this directly from Microsoft by clicking here.
       
   2. The second component is called the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) and can be downloaded by clicking here.
       
7. In this step you select the location to which to installl the software. Unless you have a personal preference, it is OK to just click on Next here.
    
   
    
8. In the next step you can select what you would like to call the program start menu folder. Again it is safe to leave it as is and click on the Next button.
    
   
    
9. The next step allows you to create a Desktop Shortcut and Quick Launch icons for the software. Select the options that you want and click on Next.
    
   
     
10. This screen prompts you to confirm your installation selections. If you are happy with the selections you can click on Install or use the Back button to change your installation settings.
     
    
     
11. After the software has been installed you will see the following screen. That will remind you that you will need to complete a final step later - activating the software with the Activation Code you should have received when you downloaded or purchased the software.
    
    
     
12. This is the final screen of the setup program notifying you that the installation was successful.
    Congratulations you have successfully installed the software. Your next step is to run the software for the first time to activate it. You can do this by clicking on the Finish button.
