2. The First Run - Activation

After you have installed the software your next step is to run it.

Double-click on the RSS Advantage icon on your desktop to run the software.
The first time you run the software you will be greeted with the screenshot below.

To Activate the software:

Enter your Activation Code. You should have received this on the download page.
Click the "Activate" button.

IMPORTANT: The software needs to connect to the RSS Advantage web server to download the latest security patches and software settings at this point. To proceed you will need the following:

You need to be connected to the Internet
If you have a firewall installed on your computer you will need to give RSS Advantage permission to connect to the Internet through the firewall. Refer to your firewall software's help guide if you are unsure about how to do this.
