RSS Advantage Desktop News Ticker Download

November 6, 2006: Version 1.0.2.3 released.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

1. Added: Double-click on the news item to open it in your browser.
2. Added: A "Top Most" window setting for the preview window.
   In your "My Display Preferences" you can set whether you want the news item preview window to be above all other windows or not.
3. Added: A larger speed control scale (to enable the news ticker to scroll extremely slowly.
4. Fixed: In news management some categories could not be deleted.
5. Fixed: Minor issue with category colors in the NewsMaster edition
6. Fixed: Right-clicking on the news ticker icon now shows the news ticker menu and doesn't open up the web browser anymore.

Here are some of the features that will be added in the next release:

1. Mimimize to tray functionality.
2. A "Floating" option that will allow you to undock the news ticker and move it around your desktop.
3. Auto-start functionality that will start the news ticker as soon as you login to Windows.
4. Import and Export of OPML files.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the installation file to your computer. (Don't forget where you save the file)
2. Extract the zip file to a temporary directory on your computer.
3. Double-click on RssAdvantage-Tester.exe (Green Icon) to test your system for the required components (complete information can be found in the README.TXT file)
4. Install the software by double clicking on RssAdvantage-1.0.x.x-setup.exe and follow the instructions.
5. Run the software. 
6. The first time you run the software you will be asked for an Activation Code (in big blue letters above). The software then needs to connect to the Internet to download and finalize the installation.

System Requirements

You will need Microsoft's .net Framework 2.0 to run the RSS Advantage News Ticker.
You can get it via Windows Update or download it directly from Microsoft's web site.
